Meet Andrew! Andrew Cecil is a physical therapist who has practiced Outpatient Physical Therapy for four years. He received both his BS in Exercise Science and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Slippery Rock University, where he also met his wife, Julie. After graduating from PT school in 2020, Andrew went on to complete a residency in Orthopedics and earn his OCS. Andrew was born in New Haven, Connecticut and then moved to Granville, Ohio where he was raised for the majority of his childhood. His passion for the outdoors and exploring the world brought his family down to Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. Andrew enjoys long walks with his wife and dogs, traveling, and STEELERS FOOTBALL!
"The reason why I love Physical Therapy is because I get the opportunity to serve others and empower them to achieve goals that many feel is not possible. You get to guide people through some of the darkest days of their lives and show them the light at the end of the tunnel. I had a very serious knee injury in high school playing football that many believed would prevent me from ever being able to participate in sports again. With the determination and help of a great medical team, I was able to get back to full function and live the life I wanted. This is what sparked my decision to become a Physical Therapist and live by the Golden Rule of treating others how you would like to be treated.” - Andrew
